Dear Fashion Diary,

As a young lady I am always looking for positivity in the world of the media, so I was so I really agreed with Elizabeth that it took quite some time for him to be concious of his actions and the many women that he has degraded in his decades as a rapper.pleased to read an article, "Jay-Z Denounces the B-Word. I'm Not Buying It" by Elizabeth Wellington for The Philadelphia Inquirer Blog - Mirror Image. I clicked it almost immedately and began to read. She made the point that she does not actually believe in the fact that Jay-Z will no longer use the B word now that he is a father to a daughter.

In December 2011, Mayor Michael A. Nutter announced details about The Philadelphia Fashion Incubator at Macy’s Center City, a new fashion design initiative devoted to supporting and promoting emerging fashion designers and encouraging local designers to keep their businesses in Philadelphia.

“I think the initiative of having a fashion incubator in the City of Philadelphia is long overdue.” says Cheryl Wadlington, Style Director of Evoluer Image Consultants, Founder of The Evoluer House, and author of The DivaGirl’s Guide to Style and Self-Respect. “Aside from the vast amount of talented individuals in Philadelphia, if there are no outlets that can promote and support them, and encourage them keep their businesses in Philadelphia, why would a designer want to maintain their fashion house in the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection?”

“The Philadelphia fashion community is growing so fast and so abroad!” says, celebrity fashion Stylist, Anthony Henderson and Founder of 17 Days of Fashion. “I am so happy for the city of Philadelphia because it now has the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator. Designers will now have the opportunity to be spotlighted and gain the education they so need.”

IN THE MIND OF A TEENAGE FASHIONISTA (Diary) #9: So tired of celebrity beauty lines! YEA I SAID IT!

Dear Fashion Diary,

Is it me or does it seem that ther is a new line/collections of celebrity products debuting everyday?

And to be perfectly honest with you, I am tired of it! Could someone please come up with something original or at least do something with the money like give ALL the proceeds to a charity...

I think that ladies would be more willing to spend their money in this rough economy to help someone less fortunate rather than helping an A-list celebrity make more money that they pretty much don't need.

So my question to you is: what do you think of all of the celebrities and their makeup/beauty lines?

Until next time, I'm fashionably out,

Solange Knowles has become known as a singer, then a successful DJ, but it seems as though Solange is trying to make her mark in the world of fashion. How? By modeling of course!

According to Vogue UK, Solange (with the height of about 5'8") has signed a contract with Next Models.

"Artistic expression is invaluable to me in all walks of my career and I am so excited to continue to develop this path along with such an amazing team at Next Model Management," Solange told Vogue UK. "I feel right at home working with people who have worked beside such creative forces in the world."

Know that Solange is no stranger to the world of modeling. She has already fronted campaigns for high end companies like; Rimmel, Armani Jeans and House of Deréon.

So far, it seems as though Next Models are very excited to work with her. "We are delighted to be working with Solange," says Next global publicist, Kat Moseley. "She is hugely popular and beautiful, with so many brilliant ideas and creative energy."

I am very happy for Solange and wish her much success.

What do you think of her modeling? Will she be a huge success??

Jason Wu for Target's advertisement campaign has been under hush, hush since it has been announced but I am happy to say that it had finally been released and YHC is one of the 1st to share the looks along with it!

I think that many young fashionistas have been waiting for a designer to partner up with Target so that they may purchase their favorite looks for an affordable price and it is so close... it is amazing!

The line is said to be inspired by French New Wave films and the actress Jean Seberg— what Wu calls “gamine chic.” In the collection ranging from $19.99 to $59.99 features jaunty sleeveless dresses, peplum Tops, pleated skirts, woven mini saddle bags and many other fashionable looks.

The looks will be available for the public on February 5, 2012 in Target stores and online at Target.com. So look out for what I believe will be sold out very soon!

Below find some of my favorite looks from the new collection!

Are you a New York Fashion Week showgoer? Well the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) wants you to stay healthy!

According to WWD, CFDA is holding a panel discussion about "A Well-Balanced Life" to kick off Fashion Week on Feb. 7. The event will be held at the Museum of Arts and Design to remind NYC Fashion Week attendees to stay healthy.

The panel moderated by CNN's Alina Cho will feature everyday ladies like; Arianna Huffington, Karolina Kurkova, Elettra Wiedemann and Monique Pean who will share their pointers to staying healthy. There will even be started with what will presumably be a healthy breakfast.

What do you think of this? Is it necessary?

FASHION: Dolce & Gabbana Receives No Love from Enraged Hong Kong Residents...

By Young Hip Chic · January 11, 2012 · 0 Comments · 18 Views

Not much love is being sent to Dolce & Gabbana in Hong Kong. On Sunday, over 1,000 protesters were outside of D&G with signs and slogans along with lots of  cameras which caused D&G to close 3 p.m. that afternoon! Why?

Well, it all started when the staff and security guards at Dolce & Gabbana's flagship boutique in Hong Kong enforced a "rule" last week that banned photography both inside and outside of the store.

That rule did not only count for press photographers, but for pedestrians as well. No one was allowed to take pictures of the boutique's window displays or storefront and that even meant that you were not allowed to take a picture standing on the public sidewalk and local residents became enraged when it appeared that foreign and local chinese tourists were exempt from the rule that was said to protect the store's "intellectual property"..
