| The magazine cover that making countries clutch their pearls... |
Last week, Fashionista.com reported the September issue of a magazine called, Dazed & Confused was banned from several countries and now it is officially confirmed that seven countries banned the magazine's issue.
What could have caused the chaos? Well, the magazine's cover featured model and rapper, Azealia Banks (the new face of T by Alexander Wang) with a pink condom to her lips, blowing it up with the caption, "Azealia Banks Blows Up".
The magazine posted on their Twitter, “Just been told our upcoming @AZEALIABANKS cover has been banned from 7 countries so far. Thank God for the Internet, huh?”
It is amazing some of the ideas that magazines can come up for their covers, but here is my thought: Couldn't there have been a cleaner and more interesting picture to go with the caption than the one above? Why does EVERYTHING have to have sex appeal? Couldn't it have been simply the same idea to have her blowing bubblegum?
Very suggestive...Just a thought that came to my mind. It sure makes me think...
