IN THE MIND OF A TEENAGE FASHIONISTA (Diary) #11: "Sophisticated Women" Fighting on TV...

Dear Fashion Diary,

And the fighting goes on and on and on! If it's not one reality tv show it is another. Ladies on Reality TV are always pulling out the claws to fight, and the sad thing is that I don't think they realize what bad examples they are setting for young girls or better yet, that they care.

I think that women, especially, should not be caught getting pulled out of their character. I think that Bad Girls Club and Basketball Wives is a good example of "bad fighting". That does not mean that fighting of any kind is "good" but "Bad fighting" is when the fighting is pointless and stands for nothing but absolute ignorance and trifling thinking. Women arguing in five inch Manolo Blahnik heels, and their Prada dresses lets you know that clothes does not make the person. A person that has elevated in their mind shows it in their actions.

I am always disturbed about some of the shows that dsiplay women as low-class and raunchy people who drink too much, are overly sexual and filled with disdain towards their sisters and society. It only makes the statement true that, "you can take the woman out of the hood, but not the hood out of the woman." SMH!

So does this mean that when I am in my thirties, instead of enjoying my maturity and loving life, that I should be taking kickboxing classes and wearing sneaks instead of wearing my heels? Will it come to me totally disregarding the fact that I will be a mother one day and throughing my dignity and self-esteem right out of the window just because of he-said, she-said nonsense that was provoked by a producer for money and ratings? So much for sophistication!

These are just a few questions to consider....

Do you think there is too much fighting on t.v. Why or why not?

Until next time, I'm fashionably out,

I definitely agree. The arguing and fighting has become so redundant that I just flip past the channel and tune into something else rather its a re-run or not lol . As long as there's no one all up in someone else's face or being a bully I'm good.

@simplydaniija I know what you mean. I never watched the show Basketball Wives but the clips that I have seen are horrific and says nothing for gaining maturity.
