3. Honey- makes a great moist conditioner for the hair.

How to use Honey: Keep a squeeze bottle in reach for when you are washing your hair. Be sure to make sure to keep it in a humid environment so that the honey so that when it goes into the hair it is moist. Condition like you do with your regular conditioner and be sure to rinse. Feel how smooth your hair is!!!

4. Salt and Sugar- great for making your hands and feet feel smooth.

How to use Salt and Sugar: Add a little olive oil to the salt and sugar to create a scrub. Rub over feet and hands to soften hard skin on these hard working limbs. (Note: Please do not put it all over your body. It can dry the skin.)

5. Olive Oil- great for dry and dull looking skin.

How to use Olive Oil: Use just like you use lotion. The great thing about olive oil is that you know exactly what you are putting on and it’s great for the skin as well as the hair! WOOT!

We at YHC know that you all want to take part in preserving this great planet that we live on and not just one day but every day. Well, we have come up with a few ways that can help us keep Mother Earth beautiful and green in the fashion world from now to forever!

10 Ways to be Eco-Chic

1. Shop at thrift stores, vintage boutiques and consignment shops. Not only will you save money, you will also get really cool items that look great.

2. Swap clothes with friends. Most of us have friends that clean their closets and trash the items that they don’t want anymore. But the Eco-Friendly way of doing that would to have a swap party and switch clothes. You can have so much fun doing this and you’ll be saving the earth!

3. Never throw clothes away, give them to a thrift store. Feel good by giving to people in need.

4. Purchase clothing made from hemp. It’s way better for the earth! :)

5. Save the animals and minimize the purchase of furs. There are so many animals being tortured and killed for their furs. Check out this video below. (Please be advised. Some parts can be very gruesome)

6. If you are a good seamstress, take clothing that you find blah and make it something chic. You can cut a pair of jeans and make it into skirt or shorts. Add a few beads for jazz.

7. When you go shopping take a reusable shopping bag instead of using the plastic bags and paper bags that the stores give you. You can take a rolling bag with you and place all your items in that one bag.

8. Buy handmade items. This is the best way to limit the amount of pollution that comes from factories that produce massive clothing.

9. When buying beauty products, look for items that are made from all natural products that are chemically safe and not tested on animals. This will ensure long-lasting, beautiful, healthy skin and the animals will love you for it.

10. Shop with a debit card. Eliminate paper and save some trees!
