Fashionista YES or Fashionista NO???- Rainbow Circle Shoes by ( @EOTWD ) Eye of the World Designs

How HIGH are you willing to go for fashion? That is the question that comes to mind when we see these shoes. These platform shoes created by Eye of the World Designs are made with wood and perspex layers stuck together by hand, shaped using a chainsaw and then finished by hand. These shoes are really very cute but how realistic are they to wear and are they any good for the feet?

According to Eye of the World Designs, based out of South- West London, “Our designs are based on quality and hand finish. Each Piece is totally unique, hand crafted in South-West London, UK. We strive to create pieces not only for fashion but also for stand-alone craftsmanship and design excellence, allowing the owner to be proud of their unique piece and display it as art." EOTWD creates bold, exquisitely beautiful, wearable and contemporary bespoke pieces.

I really do like the design but I find it hard to believe that people would walk around in these shoes, but a photo shoot would be awesome! So, you’re wondering how high these shoes are? Well, there is no information on the site but from my fashionable estimation, I believe that these are 12 inch platforms and with the heel, they are 18-24 inches high? Truly a Killer Heel… Want to purchase your pair, well get really to dish out more than $3,000 and check them out at www.notjustalabel.com What are your thoughts on these shoes? Would you wear them? What is the highest that you have ever went? We are dying to know.

Fashionista YES or Fashionista NO???- Rodnik Band (@TheRodnikBand) POP Britain Collection

The Urinal Dress

Some dresses are made as art and some dresses are made for fun. Then there are others…lol Here a few dresses that will either make you smile, laugh or ask what the heck were they thinking.

The Nude Dress

The Hermit Crab Dress

The Fish and Chips Dress

The designer, Philip Colbert, states that the label is inspired by developments in the modern art world, in particular the work of Marcel Duchamp and the Pop Art movement. 'The Rodnik Band' label is presented as a pop band rather than a traditional fashion label. The collection is a unique amalgamation of music, art and fashion which combines three closely associated genres to create a unique fashion concept. The designs that you see come from his POP Britain Collection which presents a British pop art inspired series of sequin dresses, with references including: Beefeaters, Double Decker Buses, pink phone box's, Boiled Eggs, Fish & Chips, pints of Beer, and even the British seaside. Let’s be clear: there are a few pieces that I would actually dare to wear like:

The Banana Dress

Mondrian Twin Dress

Lips Bag/Fried Egg Purse

It has always been my thinking (and many other real fashionistas) that fashion is an art and that as an art it should make a statement, so what kind of statement do you think that these dresses are making?

The Sunflower Dress

CELEBRITY FASHION: Fashion MISSES at the 2013 Met Gala!

The Met Gala's red carpet has always been known as the Oscars for celebrity fashion and I was slightly disappointed to see some of my favorite celebrity stylistas fail to make my best dressed list! So many patterned dresses with matching patterned shoes, distracting headpieces,  and awkward cuts, SMH...so disappointed. Below are some of the worst celebrity fashion of the night and why I think it was a miss!

So sorry to all the Bees in the B-Hive... As muchas I appreciate Beyonce's drive for success, Beyonce in Givenchy was sadly a miss for me. I was expecting something better for the lady who acted as an honorary chair of the event. I think the combination of the matching boots and gloves are just too much, the bust looks uncomfortable, and the buckle belt just made it look too busy. I give her a 10 for her natural makeup!

Sarah Jessica Parker did not make my best dressed list simply because her headpiece by Phillip Treacy and dress by Giles Deacon made be feel overwhelmed not to mention the combination of the shoes were, blah. Take away the headpiece and maybe...

Kim Kardashian in Riccardo Tisci was a a patterned disaster. Why are the shoes and gloves the same pattern??? Wait, why was Kim even there??? Anyway, hair and makeup, YES!!!

Wow is all I can say about Madonna in Givenchy and Casadei shoes (which are really cute)... Madonna, please remember your age.

What was Miley Cyrus thinking with this Marc Jacobs and that hair??? I know that she is all about creating a new image for herself but this style is too much for me. She looks... a little trashy. SIDEBAR: Can someone tell me the them this year??? Maybe that will put some of this fashion into perspective... GEESH!

I am really not feeling this look on Alicia Keys. The leather and sequins is not a good combination with the cut of the dress and the hair with the colored streaks are very kiddie.

This look on Elle Fanning has too much going on especially wit her choice of makeup. Not a look that fits her style.

Noooo... I think that Anne Hathaway should stick to her "good girl style" rather than her Valentino bad girl dress. Too many cuts in the wrong places. And the sleeves...don't get me started.

This Maison Martin Margiela dress is not flattering on Gwen Stefani and I think the big bow is a miss. It looks like she was dressed in a rush!

Ehhhh....Doutzen Kroes this would be a miss.

Love the makeup and hair on Eve, but the dress is a NO!

What were your thoughts??? Was I a little harsh??? Do you agree or disagree??? I'm all ears :)

CELEBRITY FASHION: Fashion HITS at the 2013 Met Gala!

The Met Gala's red carpet has always been known as the Oscars for celebrity fashion. Although I was slightly disappointed to see some of my favorite celebrity stylistas fail to make my best dressed list, a lot of stylish celebrities did! Some of my favorite looks were the most simple designs with fashionable accessories with details. Below are some of the best celebrity fashion of the night and why I think they were a hit!

Diane Von Furstenberg (66 years old) looks amazing in this long and sparkly dress cover. This is what I think a mature fashion designer should look like, even the hair is on point! Disco glam!

Emma Roberts looks so fab in her Diane Von Furstenberg gown and clutch with Jennifer Fischer jewelry. It shows that a long black dress will never go out of style and simplicity with a touch of standout accessories and a detailed waist work every time.

I give Kristen Stewart the most improved award. Everyone who knows my style, knows that I love a unique jumpsuit and this made my best dressed list because I loved the style! I think this look would have been a perfect 10 with a different pair of stilettos and a waist belt to bring together the look.

YES, Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney was a complete hit and the clean look face and hair is a plus. I don't quite agree with the spiked belt because I am so OVER the spikes, but I will give her a pass.

AMAZING! Nicole Richie was fab from head to toe. The hair color made her eyes pop! And that Topshop dress...no words.

Solange Knowles worked it out in this Kenzo. I always appreciate Solange because her look is all her...

Anna Wintour  in Chanel and Bee Shaffer look fresh and clean with their springtime dresses!

Hailee Steinfeld looked adorable and fashionable in her Donna Karan Atelier dress! What were your thoughts about the dresses? Who was on your best or worse dressed list? I am listening...

As Necole Bitchie said best, "celeb women have bonded together and started showing off their natural hair sans the weave and wigs to prove that for them, weaves are an accessory, not a necessity."

Angela Simmons and Nicki Minaj just recently posted images of their natural healthy hair letting their fans know that you can wear weaves and wigs and still have a full and long grade of hair.

Hey Fashionstas:

So this weekend was quite awesome, if I should say so...lol

This past weekend, I hosted and co-produced with my parents a trunk show for the uber-talented Corey Wesley of Urban Flrt. As a hostess, I was given a shirt to wear that was made especially for me!!! I call it Tweety Fierce!!! LOL... Doesn't she look just like me???

I am so into "Street Chic" fashion because it is so real and most of the inspiration that designers get comes from what they see in the city and the people that live there, and this is what makes Urban Flrt my #1 Street Chic item to wear.
