| These "Wizard of Oz" inspired shoes are valued at $1.6 million dollars. |
"What the Shoe!?" is a new shoe segment that we at YHC are interested in sharing with you ladies! We will be talking about the weird, the amazing, and the downright senseless shoes that come onto the market.
We will start this segment off with a pair of shoes that are just downright crazy! A pair of $1.6 million heels!!! Now, I know that you might want to look like a star in your fashionable evening gown but what would make you want shoes more expensive than your house?
The Stuart Weitzman Ruby Slippers were inspired by the "Wizard of Oz" and they are designed with a cherry red insole, replete with a delicate upper of red satin and is encrusted with impressive 642 Burma rubies, half a pound of platinum and a total carat count of 123.33!!!
The shoes were supposed to make a debut on a red carpet in 2003 but they didn't due to the mood of the war in Iraq. They came out of the closet later that year for display at Harrod's in London.
What do you think of the shoes? Fashionista-YES or Fashionista-NO?
